You may or may not have heard that Google has removed the recommendation in its webmasters guidelines section to submit to directories. This started a panic as people though that having links in directories no longer held any weight. They thought this would have a nock on effect on there SEO results. Web 2.0, in my opinion, has and will continue to affect SEO. (There is no single definition of a Web 2.0 site or property but one thing almost EVERY site that is considered to be a Web 2.0 site has in common is they are interactive.)
