How to Build Your Optin List Faster Without More Traffic
Almost every internet marketer is obsessed with driving a ton of traffic to their web sites. But what’s the point of more traffic if you’re not turning it into more money. Once you’re starting to get traffic you should spend some of your time increasing the value of each of those visitors.
This is especially true if you’re driving them to a squeeze page.Building your own list of subscribers is a crucial part of creating a successful internet marketing business.
And there’s nothing wrong with trying to drive more and more targeted traffic to your squeeze page.
But sometimes it can be easier to increase your profits by improving your conversion rate (number of subscribers versus number of visitors) than trying to increase your traffic.
If you drive 100 visitors a day to your squeeze page and 10% optin for your offer, you’ll get 10 new subscribers a day.
But if you can boost your conversion rate to 20% you’ll get 20 visitors a day and double your list building efforts.
Over a year’s time that’s 7,300 subscribers versus 3,650. That’s a huge difference.
Just think if you can double your conversion rate and double your visitors. Then it becomes 14,600 subscribers versus 3,650.
And that’s only going from 100 visitors a day to 200 visitors a day.
So how do you do it? You need a compelling optin page with a great offer to entice people to sign up to your list.
Your optin page must:
Deliver something for free of high quality that is targeted to your niche
A compelling, benefits driven headline that builds curiosity
A few emotionally charged bullet points “selling” the benefits of the free giveaway
A call to action
It should be relatively short. A squeeze page does not need to be long form copyOnce you have these things in place, you need to test and track different combinations.
Once you have some solid traffic data, try using a different headline and keep everything else the same.
If your conversion rate goes up, keep that new headline and test it against another headline.
If you continually test and track what your visitors do, you’ll be able to boost your squeeze page conversion rates and build your list much faster without driving more traffic to your site.
This is an even greater benefit when utilizing paid traffic.
