There are many ways to generate traffic online, all of which will cost you either time or money. I must say that the best traffic source online depends on the individual situation but I think more importantly, to successfully drive traffic online you must understand what gives “traffic” its momentum.
Traffic is nothing more than people moving around on the Internet to consume information. This is the concept that a lot of advertisers don’t understand, whichever traffic source you choose, it must involve useful information to the people that will be consuming it and you will be able to attract quality traffic to your online space.It could be pay-per-click, article marketing or banner ads, regardless of the method you pick, it has to have useful information as the core of its message in order to be effective and to turn a profit for the business.
People browsing the Internet aka “traffic” want to read information about the topic they are searching for, that’s why they were searching in the first place. Not to read your ad or buy your product. That’s not to say they will not eventually buy it if you position it properly but you can make each traffic source much more effective if you begin communicating with the people on the other end instead of placing your sales message at the beginning of your sales process.
